Our work Since 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted over 3,350 life-changing wishes, including 214 in 2024 alone. These moments offer more than just a break from hospitals and treatments. They help restore a sense of normality and remind children of their courage, resilience, and right to experience joy. Every year, over 650 children in Ireland are diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. These diagnoses affect not just the children, but entire families - disrupting school, friendships, and daily life. A wish can offer a powerful sense of relief and emotional healing, helping families reconnect, celebrate life, and build cherished memories during incredibly difficult times.
